Post Christmas Happenings

I went into town and did some post christmas sale shopping yesterday, the place was packed. I picked up a 50 pack of blank tdk 8x dvd's which I need cos my hard drive is full of ripped dvd's ready to burn. My other purchase was a rad pair of grey nike air force ones which were on special... I like dem cos they remind me of the shoes Marty Mcfly wears in Back to the Future 2.

Nike Air Force One's

Went into town last night to Adelaide's default nightclub, Heaven, with my friend and his girlfriend, for a friend of a friend's 21'st. It was pretty fun, being the default club you are always bound to see someone you know so its kool in that respect. Anyway, on the way home there was this huge mother of a spider crawling along my dashboard, I hate spiders so I was freaking out, he kept crawling up until he was directly above me. I quickly pulled my car over and tried to flick it out the window with a street directory but i flicked it on the floor under my seat. I could not find the damn thing so I kept on driving. It was the freakiest drive home all the time I'm thinking I hope this spider isnt crawling up my leg, I thought I could feel it all over me. 3 Minutes before arriving home i felt it crawling on my steering wheel and jumped and sorta swerved my car, I flicked it to the passenger seat and kept on driving. I hate spiders. Today I'm buying a big can of insect spray!!!!

Apathetic Net User

I have a 512 ADSL Internet Connection, Limewire and I dont download anything these days!! Its insanity. I never feel the need or even the want to get stuff anymore, its the whole when you have it, you don't care but when you don't oh boy do you want it. I hate the fact that Im not raping my 512 connection and my monthly 20gb download limit! Apathy, I rarely even surf the net anymore! When i first found the joys of the internet and found out my local library offered 30min browsing sessions for free I was buzzing from the sheer thought of using the "Internet", those 30 minutes seemed to go by in no time. Even if it was on a 28.8 modem connection and a website took 30 seconds to load it was rad to surf. Fast forward 8 or 9 years to now... nothing, no joy, no longing to discover, search, anything!!! I get bored of things real easy and I wish I didn't.

Poster Fun

Hi,

Yesterday at work I was taking out some rubbish to the outside bin when I came across a large printed poster of some landscape image. I couldn't let this huge photo quality poster be thrown out, it was great so I decided to keep it and do something with it.

It was originally printed out to show how big work's digital camera's resolution went to. Anyway today I had an Idea. Im going to print out greyscale images and glue them to the scenic poster and arrange the pics so they tell a story. My first thoughts are a battlefield of greyscale people and then use red paint to make it all bloody and gruesome :)

So far Ive stuck on a soldier, a dog, tom green and an indian woman wading in the creek. Here's the pic. Click to enlarge. I'll post more pics when i update it.

Short Story

It was a lazy Sunday evening as Brett sat in his recliner pondering as he often did. It was wet and miserable outside and he felt somehow affected by it, his mood being somber and tired. Why was he so affected by the weather he thought to himself, he seemed to notice the subtleties of things and places, he noticed how cerain places made him feel. When he visited his older Brother in Melbourne he often felt very different, he felt a change in his thinking even, it was as if the people and the whole city had a different vibe to it. He liked it and felt somehow more in tune with Melbourne. Was he the only one who noticed such things he often thought to himself, or was it just that he was not always distracted as he felt his parents and friends were. Brett had always felt he was different to other people, he saw things differently and picked up things intuitively through experiencing things first hand. He also thought a lot, about everything, but mainly people. Brett naturaly without really even trying to saw a lot of connections between things, connections between things would just come to him. For example a week earlier, he came to the conclusion that people who think alot, usually have more dreams than people who don't think as much. He had often wondered why he dreamed so much and so whenever he met someone who also dreamed alot he would notice the similarities between them and himself and after comparing multiple friends and people he met, he decided that it was the people who thought a lot that dreamed alot. However this whole conclusion would come to him in a matter of seconds. None of this mattered though at the moment for Brett was feeling depressed and when he felt depressed he would become very pessimistic and irrational, he hated feeling this way and had not yet found a way to bring himself out of his depressive moods.

The end

Got my car back!

The cops found my car!!

My Dad picked me up from work tonight and drove me to the location of where it was dumped. I was expecting to rock up, find my cd player, 6X9's, front speakers, steering wheel, seat belts the whole lot stripped like last time my car was stolen. But when I rock up the car was fine, all that was gone was my cd player .. I was like huh?

My sony Xplode 6x9's were still in my parcel shelf, my front pioneer speakers... still there. Put the key in everythings fine.. so Im pretty happy bout that!

Someone stole my car!

I parked my car at the bus interchange carpark last night and went into town to see "Team America: World Police" with my friend Paul. Had a wicked night, we went to the Exchange and then to Red Square where Paul's friend was working behind the bar. For the rest of the night we were getting FREE drinks from his friend... it was so rad!!

But anyway when I arrived back at the bus interchange where I left my car, it was gone!! I had the strongest feeling about 5 minutes before arriving that my car was stolen! So when I got their and noticed it was gone I was not really supprised!! This is the 3rd time my car has been stolen and so im not heaps angry or sad or anything.. meh.. but I do however hope the car has been written off or it cannot be found, so I can get insurance money and buy a new car. Inside was a nice pioneer cd deck, sony explode 6x9's and pioneer speakers in the front. I only kept burnt cd's in there so that If it ever got stolen It would'nt matter.

If you happen to be the person who stole my car and are reading this, which is highly unlikely... I hope you enjoy my burnt cd collection, I am proud of my taste in music and I hope you take the time to listen to the cd's as Im sure you will find some music that you really like. Oh and if you could go ahead and burn the car or dump it into a lake that would be muchly appreciated. Thankyou.

Long Time no Blog

Hello Hello Hello,

So I havent really posted up in here for ages and since im feeling bored, hey why not. It's Saturday 1:31 PM.... listening to a song by the Faint - Drop Kick the Punks and it struck me how much the start of this song sounds like the start of "Sonic Youth - My Friend Goo".

So Ive finished Tafe now forever and now have a "Diploma in Multimedia". I really used to hate telling people what I was studying because when I would say "Im studying Multimedia" they would'nt know what it was.. they'd be like.. uhhhh..so are you going to be a news presenter then? If you are unaware, Multimedia Designers create things like Websites, Cd roms, flash games, video presentations etc.

Now I really hate telling people what I do for a living cos as soon as I say , "Oh I make websites" and stuff they label me as a "computer geek" I can see it in their expression. Im not really, I mean I know a bit about computers but just because you work on one all day doesnt mean you are a computer geek. But I also sorta say it in a "you will think this is unkool" tone of voice which is probably another reason why people respond the way they do. So i guess its my fault after all.. Stupid me, Stupid me, Stupid me. I reckon though from now on I will just make up a job title for myself so that I will no longer dread this question but I will be able to have fun with it :). I will say in a confident "I know what Im talking about" tone, "oh Im the senior international relations coordinator for GLOBOTECH industries. Or maybe something a little more believable, "Im a trader". This is a good one as it's open to interpretation plus people might hear, "Im a traitor".

Anyway, Im going to go see "Team America: World Police" tonight!!!!!! can't wait should be wicked. Im a big fan of South Park and Ive heard only good things about it so yeah!

Have a good weekend, cya!
