My Grandma called tonight wanting to speak with Dad, but as Dad was at a conference I talked to her. She rules, she's always got so much to talk about and whenever she calls I always get the cousins/uncles/aunties updates, she just comes out and tells me all the things they are up to.. without hesistating because I might not be interested, I really like that about her. She's always active and on the ball, she's hooked up to the net and emails people, man what a lady. Another thing which is kool about my Grandma is she will subtly imply what she would like to see me doing. For example before I found a full time job she was always asking if I had a job yet and now it's have I moved out of home. Her expectations sorta get me thinking, yeah maybe I should move out of home, it's kool. My parents hardly ever give me any direction about stuff so its kool when Grandma does.
Got the complete first season of "Curb Your Enthusiasm" on dvd plus a whole heap of episodes from James from work today.. Watch the first 4 of season 1.. That show rules so much, I love it. Got a really nice Yiros today for lunch.. went to Zoe's with Reece and Anton, was great.. a little sloppy though.
I bought a car cover today from Kmart because I park my new white VR Commodore in my driveway and we have stacks of gum trees and flora and fora and the such that in the mornings my white car will be covered in leaves and debris.. It's so annoying.. Im really anal about keeping things clean so Im happy I have a cover now.

Ive been getting into Curb your Enthusiasm lately.. its a really funny show. Im going to download all the episodes. ummmm.. yeah... might be getting a VS Commodore this Saturday, we will see.. Ima check it out on Saturday and If it meets with my high standards Ima buy it. Something to look forward too ..yay! Im so sick of not having radio or cd playback on the way to work and back, its really getting on my nerves. It's just so boring driving to work and back without it.. nothing to keep me amused or sane. And now that Ive been going a certain way to work and back for a while now It's like a big endless rut.. I stay in the exact same lanes, make the exact same lane changes.. etc.. yeah even talking about it is boring me.
I did find a really good mp3 tonight.. its "Bananarama - Cruel Summer" it starts so good.. instantly its good after a second u can tell its gonna be a great song ..yeah...oh and another one i found was Simple Minds - Promised You a Miracle which has this great catchy synth bit which makes the song. Both Eighties :) loving it!
I now have seven remote controls In my room that I use and it's getting complicated.. I wonder how they will combat this remote control problem in the future?? Oprah Winfrey recommends 5 meals a day. I want to make killer dance/electronic music but I don't know how. Big Boi's rhymes were more gangsta/player based whereas Dre's where more observational.
Man I really want a club to open here in Adelaide which plays good "non-commercial" 80's new-wave music and electroclash music. But it won't happen. Adelaide is just too dull and does'nt get it. So far behind in everything its really sad. I want to move to a place where the people "get it" ... I say that a lot to people.. "get it" im not sure they "get it" when i say "get it" but meh...I get what I mean.

Im not going to be able to see the Faint... Dammit!!!!!!
My all time favouritest band in the world, The Faint are playing in Melbourne tommorrow and im not going to be able to see them. It's my own damn fault though because I left it until today to organise it. I was going to go with a friend by car tonight but I left it too late and he has to do a training day at his work that he absolutely can't get out of. I suppose if I absolutely wanted to I could rig going by plane by myself but it just wouldnt be the same. Oh well I ordered a "Wet From Birth" - Faint t shirt over the net so that I guess that will have to do for now.
An evening with Dame Edna is on Fox8 (Foxtel Digital)... It is the worst!!!!!!! Dame Edna is the dumbest most unfunny act ever. I don't understand how a person can think she is funny. Her whole act is just her saying relatively normal, non-intelligent statements in a tone of voice which states "now what I'm saying now is funny and you should laugh". Hmmmmm i dunno if that makes sense but it seems she would only appeal to 81 yr olds and people who laugh on cue. It's only celebrities in the audience so the audience pans are pretty interesting and the only reason Im still watching. You can work out which celebrities are the dumbest, fakest and blandest by seeing who laughs at her dumb jokes. They are panning to Marcia Hines alot aswell.. hahaha Marcia Hines is just nodding and using her "sincerely listening" face. If I ever saw Dame Edna in a street I would side kick her in the head and tell her to get the hell out of 2005. I would love to see what Dave Chappelle would say about her. Seriously though, the celebrities asking questions are only asking questions so they can be seen on tv. How is she still in show business... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh... Am I the only one who hates Dame Edna.. she must be stopped!! Or maybe the whole thing is scripted because all the celebrities questions seem so text book and unsincere. She is not funny. Drag queens in general are lame but who wants to see an English Australian 70 yr old looking hag like Dame Edna. That is all... id love to hear from people who think the same about her.
