Fun eyes closed game

Today while at work I decided to do this thing. The thing was I got a pen and paper and then I shut my eyes. While my eyes were shut i started to draw, without thinking or imagining what i was drawing, just drawing letting my hand go where it pleased. I then drew up to the point at which i thought i had started at and then opened my eyes. I was surprised at how close i had got to the start point of my drawing. I was like whoah.. this looks like some piece of land or something. Which got me thinking, what if i had just drawn some continent or something that will be important to me in the future.. or something.

If looking at this picture you can tell that its a drawing of an actual place, let me know what the place is. This may seem far fetched and "out there" but the only reason Im going with it is that on more than one occasion I have done this same thing with words and stuff where i just draw/write and form words. Looking back over these drawings i have noticed that i had written down names of people/friends i would then meet a few months down the track.

Haha.. this is probably just a result of my overactive imagination but its fun to think like this so meh.. im gonna go with it.

Fresh Fish

Not much to blog about really. Felt like writing something so here goes nothing. Felt.. Felt.. Thought.. Thought... Idea.. Idea.. shut it. Ive been getting into "Little Britain" lately.. its funny as, i saw it at a friends house on dvd ages ago and just the other night on the tv im going to buy it soon. The cake contains.... no nuts!

I created 2 myspace accounts yesterday, why? well i guess i wanted to be a part of this thing i keep hearing about all the time. Im not going to use it or update it or anything plus it links to my website so will help with search engine rankings. My personal myspace is http://www.myspace.com/nathankowald and i also set up a band myspace for the music i sometimes make that one is at http://www.myspace.com/natekowald

Walking along rundle mall lately ive noticed a quite disturbing trend near the malls balls... emo's! They seem to be congregating there quite often in large groups as of late. When will this emo trend die? sooner rather than later i hope.... for all our sakes.

Whenever i bag emo in the back of my mind im thinking of that teaching/quote which goes something like "whatever it is that annoys you about someone, stems from the same annoyance about yourself". So whenever I pay out emo im thinking oh man.. what is it about emos that i see in myself that i dont like?? a scary thought. Then again does that mean that u should never get annoyed at people or at anything at all because if everything you get annoyed at stems from your own personal annoyonces about yourself then isnt getting annoyed at something outside of yourself dumb and counterproductive?. Then again why can't u think something is dumb just because u think it is. fullstop nothing more to it? is annoyance and thinking something silly different? if so then i think emo is silly.. yeah thats it..

Music and Me

I got my friend David pumped about audioscrobbler... it's so good I cant wait until I have been using it for a year and i can check my overall general stats, see most played artist and then i can be like yep this is my favourite 5 bands, not that i need audioscrobbler for me to know my favourite bands, it just makes it easier and its stats..stats i say.. If you don't use audioscrobbler go get the plugin from here now!! Oh and now steve uses it.. Sweet! im excited about this because im not sure what music steve likes and when i checked his page today i was happily surprised with his range, Steve knows everything about everything.. my new nickname for Steve is "The Oracle" i just made it up before... in my head. Oh im liking my friends audioscrobblers About Me descriptions, check them out:

Daniel (funny/well written/precise): http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/quacker/
David (broken engrish/funny pastime):http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/davidgoldust/
Steve (mentions me): http://www.audioscrobbler.com/user/Jazid/

I downloaded the Team America world police soundtrack .. its so funny especially the track .. "America Fuck Yeah"
.. internet.. fuck yeah.. slavery fuck yeah.. :)

While watching MTV tonight i heard a really really good new song and was like huh... wats this??? Im downloading it as we speak. Im predicting its gonna do pretty well. The song is "First Day - Timo Maas/Brian Molko" When i heard it i was like.. the lead singer of placebo's voice.. but this is a wiked dance track.. whoah then the title came up and yeah......... another okay song i heard tonight was "Run Baby Run" by Garbage. The lead singer is ugly as, wears some ok clothes in the clip but just makes me want to vomit its like she is trying to accentuate her bad looks with bright red lipstick and died red hair.. i just dont understand..bottom line.. its not working.

Oh in other music related news i FINALLY bought the cd "Nate Dogg - Music and Me". Dave spotted it and said, here get your cd. Because i am referred to as Nate Dogg by Dave and lots of other dudes.

Its time for a themed list - cool and not cool (according to me):

Cool
- Asics Tigers
- Timo Maas feat. Brian Molko - First Day
- Audioscrobbler
- Lunch box snacks
- Adding "In my head" to the end of sentences
- Saying "Ive always thought that about you" to people you don't talk to much or dont know very well
- Enthusiasm and getting pumped about things

Not Cool
- Making any kind of Seinfeld reference
- Work Deadlines
- The American Office series
- Will Smith
- Pubes left on the toilet seat at work
- The smell of the toilets at work
- Back pain

3 Part Post - Object Orientated, Spiel and Thanks

Object Oriented

Audioscrobbler - www.audioscrobbler.com

A once off plugin installation for winamp or windows media player or watever you use to play your songs. The plugin records every song you listen to and then posts it to your own webpage with stats and the likes of. It won't make you lose weight, it won't make your infected wisdom tooth feel better, it will keep track of the songs you play.

My Audioscrobbler stats: www.audioscrobbler.com/user/n8kowald

Spiel
It seems to be a recurring theme for me to have to relearn basic fundamentals of being. I will forget for a period of 6 months that always focusing on what your feeling and being a guy don't add up to anything productive. Laziness (somewhat emotional state/decision) and a so called "mind which thinks for itself" can be really really detremental when it comes to ways of living. In the very back of my brain i know all the correct "rules" that i have picked up over the last 22 years, but i often forget them or are too busy focusing on the wrong things. So all the while that this laziness is going on i know the problem but cos its in the back of my head im like meh who cares. When i finally do realise something though I know the why and thats something i need in order to function. Dumb Head. I need to be more like a task orientated labourer or something.

McDonalds breakfast menu's are calling and who am I to ignore her beckon, especially after a night of boozing McDonalds breakfast or greasefast as i shall call it from hence forth cures the headache, lines the stomach.. golden delicious.

Thanks
To the dude at Adelaide Myer Centre Daily Grind for the free Offspring cd.. killer!! oh and for the Zero poster. If i worked behind the counter of a foodery in the food court id give u free meals.

Right Brained

If you are like me... ok maybe that's not the best opening statement because for one thing how are you to know if you are like me and two if you do know me or know enough about me to be able to say "hey, no im not like you".. and therefore your brain switches off. Maybe you have read up to this point and your brain is already switched off, who is to know. Anyhow i digress. Im going to just write it as it comes out. I shall start a new line however to differentiate the difference in content. This first block being purely babbled bullshit and the second paragraph writing about something I think people will benefit from.

MSN Messenger 7 Current Playing Song - For Winamp
Do you use Winamp more than you do Windows Media Player? So do i, it always annoyed me how if i wanted to display to people what i was listening to i had to use Windows Media Player. Not anymore, i googled it and found a plugin that lets winamp works with Msn 7 so it displays what your listening to. Heres the link.
http://winamp.com/plugins/details.php?id=144872

I am not a fan of labels because I dont like to label myself because i think it blocks your mind off from looking at yourself differently which you should always be doing/reassesing because that is how you grow as a person. Anywho I do however fall into the description of the person who happily puts themself into a label which they feel comfortable with seeing themselves as. One such label which i enjoy associating myself with is the label of a "Right Brained" person. You see when i label myself as a "Right Brained" person I am associating myself with all the traits which i am good at and "enjoy" that word enjoy is the key ... and dissasociating myself with all of the "Left Brained" traits which i suck at. When i read descriptions of right brained traits i am saying YES YES thats me to every charactersistic and get a good feeling from this. Placing myself under this label makes me feel better about my weeknesses because i can say, oh im not good at maths because Im right brained. My brain just turned to putty and I am finding it hard to write. That's another thing I find it hard to do, to concentrate. My mind always wanders, always, so naturally tasks where a high level of concentration is beneficial i tend to not enjoy. I need change, randomness and the likes of. I tend to be drawn towards and remember things which are emotionally charged as opposed to informationally charged. Like right now I am feeling so right brained its not humerous. So if you are left brained you are probably focusing on that im not really saying f' all or may be saying "what, that sentence doesnt make sense" or focus on my "spelling errors". But I dont see things this way and in my mind im saying i just want to get the "general" overall idea out there.

All i can do is write from what im directly experiencing in the moment right now, the mother f'ing present tense. I am listening to loads of heavy music at the moment and am really really enjoying it ... immensely. And have just read over what ive written so far and its really really "me me me" based.. f' it!

Heres a list of left/right brain traits that you can look at and see if you can associate yourself with a dominant side, if you want, if you dont want to you can do a search for "lemonparty" on google and see what you find.

Left Brain
Logical
Sequential
Rational
Analytical
Objective
Looks at parts

Right Brain
Random
Intuitive
Holistic
Synthesizing (goddamn synthesizers rule)
Subjective
Looks at wholes

Drawing

I drew some cartoons tonight in my sketch pad, tried to put them into Illustator but I can't use that program, it frustrates the hell outta me! So I always end up drawing in Flash. Theres gotta be a better way to make sketched drawings into clean crisp vector cartoons. Any ideas, hit me up.
