First off chest. Last 3 albums I bought, "Robots in Disguise - Get Rid", "Mount Sims - Wild Light" and latest "Ladytron - The Witching Hour". All these albums are pretty much electroclash/electro/pop/what have u. I love this genre. These last 3 albums have been dissapointing.

The Robots in Disguise album I wanted to get which features boys, diy and mnemonic was not in stock at JB-HIFI so I was unable to get it. Oh look theres the latest one.. oh its later date 2004, this must mean its kooler.. better.. not the case!. At a dismal 9 songs I only really like 3 songs off this album. However these 3 songs are pretty kool. The 3 good songs are Girl, The Dj's got a gun and turn it up. I especially like dj's got a gun, pretty catchy and turn it up conveys the mood and reason of how music can make you feel so good and cheer you up when your down.

The Mount Sims album I was really looking forward to as I have loads of mp3's acquired of his stuff and all songs Ive liked. Once again only the latest album available... Its not that good. I like about 3 songs out of the 15 songs on the album. Its packed with instrumental type songs too... If i wanted to hear electro instrumentals Id listen to my NES Music collection of .nsf's. But then again this whole genre is not exactly deep and known for its meaningful lyrical content.

Then the last album I acquired was Ladytron - The Witching Hour. So have listened to every song so far.. On first initial listen there are about 4 good songs i like, 1 being the single "Destroy Everything You Touch". Why can't an artist release an album with more than a few good songs on it?. These last 3 albums have got me annoyed at this genre in general. Is the electroclash "movement" over? Have all the good electro 80's "revival, if you will" albums been made already.. I mean where else is this genre supposed to go? It cant exactly evolve into anything too new otherwise it is no longer electroclash as this music is based on an 80's sound. I hope not as I enjoy this genre. Or has the inevideble happened, am I over this sound? Its gotta happen sometime.. is this the beginning of the end of my love and fascination for this decade? What will the new love be that replaces this I wonder? Or am I going to experience a dry period where nothing musically is exciting anymore?

Had a scary experience tonight while watching TV, I actually understood the news and programs like today tonight. They are "Adult" shows. I actually caught myself seeing how when I have a family of my own how I could sit and get things from these programs. Ouch I don't like the idea of being an adult and having to care about these things but it will happen and I am beginning to see how the changes will come.

I read a chapter from an interesting book the other day about Birth order and how it affects people's personalities. I read the youngest child chapter as this is what I fall under as I am not the youngest child in my family now but there was a large gap of time when i was the youngest. One point made is that people who were youngest childs often do not worry or care about advancing in a career but put more importance on health and relationships with people. I can strongly agree with this. I think that as long as Im happy now, all is fine, Im not fussed at all about my career so to speak. First borns are "apparently" the total opposite of this they say. Another thing about last borns is that they have less stricter rules and therefore can get away with more. Last borns haha its fun to refer to people as "last borns" can often be totally exstaticly happy at one moment and then be very depressed the next. They are used to getting their way and are usually good at getting what they want from people and situations. They are generally outgoing and friendly. They often make good salespeople. Another thing was they often have to work harder to get attention and praise as the parents have seen it all before by the time they come to the last kid.. so they have a need for attention and often develop strong skills because of this need. This is a very general explanation of what I got from the book.

Blah blah I feel like I cant express anything good in written word tonight for some reason. Its not coming out right. At the moment i feel like crap and am by just listening to music on my computer.. I know if i keep doing this Im only going to feel worse, need to "do" something. I find it hard to just sit alone and not really do anything in particular, its unedging. It would be ok If I could think straight and be productive but at the moment .. no.

Design Trend Prediction
Wanna get a sneak peak of a font/lettering style that you will be seeing alot more of in the future??. I have used it on the tony font show website i built, check it on the ladytron site. The middle of letters filled in. Expect to see this more and more in advertising and then in a month or two on tshirts and stuff in kmart and target. I saw it on an elton john record the other day in an opshop and was wowed.. however eventually this style will get played out as design trends do.

I got two replies to some of my previous blog posts today which was nice, I replied to both. I read into everything and may have misinterpreted the intentions of the authors of these comments. The first comment was a reply to my Interpol concert breakdown. I am aware that not everyone likes Interpol and being a person who doesnt like a lot of bands I will form my own judgements about the music and people who listen to them. I really thought this person was way off in his analysis and seemed to be the sort of person who thinks he is right alot and thinks of everyone else and anything that differs from his opinion is wrong. I sometimes think my opinion on things is important and need to stop trying to promote my interests and likings but its hard. Maybe I didnt like this persons post because I saw some of myself in them and its easier to get annoyed at them then at myself.. once again another analysis too much thinking.
The other comment stated "multi sexual energy" i dont even know what this is. Its nice getting comments though, stimulating if you will. At the moment I have no idea if anyone reads my dumb blog anyway. My silly advertisements for things which I think are good or like, once again people will always differ in their opinions etc all I know is i really really like when people are really enthusiastic about something and that makes me excited as a result so therefore i post my enthusiasms.

I am thinking of changing the page title of this blog "Nathan's Blog - The greatest weblog you will ever read" I changed it to this after listening to the hives alot being influenced by the confident lyrics and seeing the hives in concert (on tv) watching them announce how cool they were (Your new favourite band being an album of theres for example) etc. I also sort of mean this as a joke in a way.. pretending to be a stupid "i think im the best" person as i find this amusing even if people dont get it.

Ive done a washing load of work on the Tony Font Show website this weekend. Im starting to like how its coming along. I found out tonight that u can copy the source code from an artist myspace page or more specifically the streaming music flash panel and then you can insert the code into your own page. This is what I have done for the TFS site.. in the Listen section.

This weekend I made the home flash banner, still a few small tweaks to do on it.. and Im trying to get my streaming media flash player to work on the home page but because my hosting company Brinkster doesnt support streaming media I am having to find dodgy ways to get around this. Might have to find a new hosting place.. any ideas... i need PHP, Database, XML, and most importantly it has to allow streamed content.

I bought 3 cd's today from JB's and they all turned out to be really shit :(

Oh yeah main reason I was going to blog tonight was to put a photo of this poster i found in this dodgy english guys knick nack shop tonight. Its a sweet poster, has illustrations of some (72) nice kicks.. I have a shoe fetish and It warms my toes to know that some person out there in poster making land is catering for the shoe lover.. mother russia thanks you.

Back from housesitting

Arrived home 2 hours ago from Kates house in Belair from a week of housesitting for her. It was pretty kool to be in a totally different area.. blah blah i dont feel like talking about this at all for some reason.

My computers been running slow lately which is pissing me off. Everytime someone msg's me in msn the computer will freeze for a 12 second period of time :( I cant stand this!! I need to burn my movies and some mp3's to dvd tonight so its not so slow.

I don't feel good
I have no motivation to do anything right now. I dont know what it is but as soon as i sit in my comfy leather executive chair and fire up the computer in my room i lose all motivation. I should be reading a book or going for a jog or doing situps or planning for stuff but I cant do anything in this debilitated state im in right now.

Ahhhh dammit it just happened again.. No longer have foxtel kinda sad but meh ..

Tommorrow we have this team building thingy at work which im not looking forward to. I did one of those tests which is supposed to tell you what sort of work preference you have/are. i hate these tests u do that are supposed to tell u wat sort of person u are.. Fark that! theres always so many variables to the questions i can never answer them properly and so am never sure if the result is accurate. Does my head in.

Whine whine red red wine... stay close to mee eee ee.. man love that song.. gonna look for it now and play.. cya!
