No computer at home :(

It seems the computer gods don't want me to have a running computer at my new home :(
Last night Karl and David came over to try and get my wireless network set up and my computer's power kept turning off... ARRRGGHHHHH not good. Oh the power, its the power board, theres too many things running off the one power point i thought (hoped). Nope plugged extension cord into brothers working board (thanks to Dave's idea) and it still turned off. Im thinking my power supply is screwed :(

Dramarama! I was thinking last night how my computer is so much a part of my life, its connected in many ways. My mobile phone pictures, I love taking phone pics, I come home, if i have good ones on it i will want to upload them to my moblog. This is how my computer is connected to my phone / picture love. Next we have this blog, something happens during the day, or i find something way cool or just want to write, well i use my computer to blog (using works atm.. shhhh don't tell). Next we have music. Music is my blood, I need it always in some form or another, with my computer as a portal to NEW music and downloadable albums and winamp to play my songs it all happens. Couple that with last.fm plugin which records my listening stats you have another undeniable way that my computer improves my quality of life. Oh yeah and then theres the "social" interactual aspect of the computer/internet, this being access to msn and chat programs, browsing last.fm group forums and emailing. Internet is the greatest thing, I need internet back soon and my computer to run, I do not want to have to resort to watching television, television is the enemy... well mostly.

Just want it to work and for the net to work. No computer is like no phone, like no toothepaste, like no toilet paper, like no foood..

Another thing I have noticed with moving outta home into appartment is that ive become more aware of my primal needs if you will. At home If i was hungry, i go to cupboard and feed. At new home if im hungry, if i have something to eat i can eat, if not i have to think about how to get food. Its like im resorting back to a childlike/babylike state where I am very aware of my needs once again and its up to me to control how I get those needs met. Needs are food, drink, computer, money, living necessities, human company. Moving out of home is also giving me an idea of my ideal living conditions, the pros and cons and is motivating me to want to save up for a house deposit.

Over and Out (<-- MPL rip off, you know who you are)

Bizarre Love Triangle - New Order

Bizarre Love Triangle
by New Order

Every time I think of you
I feel shot right through with a bolt of blue
It's no problem of mine
But it's a problem I find
Living a life that I can't leave behind
But there's no sense in telling me
The wisdom of the fool won't set you free
But that's the way that it goes
And it's what nobody knows
well every day my confusion grows

Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You say the words that I can't say

I feel fine and I feel good
I'm feeling like I never should
Whenever I get this way
I just don't know what to say
Why can't we be ourselves like we were yesterday
I'm not sure what this could mean
I don't think you're what you seem
I do admit to myself
That if I hurt someone else
Then I'll never see just what we're meant to be

Every time I see you falling
I get down on my knees and pray
I'm waiting for that final moment
You say the words that I can't say

Note: Best song ever

Moved Out Of Home

On Saturday I packed up my gear and said stick this I'm moving out, well not really but dramatica is betters to spinster you with. Yep Im now living in an appartment in Goodwood just out of the city with my bro Luke. Its a pretty sweet location. Heres some pics of my smallish room, taken with my phone camera. My phone IS my camera, its with me all the time.

I decorated my walls with photos and arty paraphonalia which catches my attention and makes a room liveable in. Eventually Im wanting to get a larger bed something like a Queen would be lovely. I do not have internet in my room yet tho!!! :( really upsetting. My brother has a wireless modem and so I need to get a wireless network card for my pc but because I am broke like an etheopian searching the dirty ground for maggots to eat, I cannot get this add on card for another say 2 weeks. I am going to have to be really wise with my money from now on which is hard for me.

So bored at home though, I don't enjoy staying home and not doing much, i find it depressing and lonely. Back home at least there was usually my sister or mum and dad around, and even knowing they were in the house was comforting.

I started a new song tonight which i shall be adding vocals and subliminal sounds to very soon, im not sure what to call it. I will post it when I have done more on it. Thank you very much.

Last night crown and anchor, drunk dancing, fun fun fun fun, this was the second time ive been asked if I was on drugs (while dancing), "What have you taken tonight?" Nothing, listen to the music, let the music amp you. They played "Bizarre Love Triangle" that was my highlight, oh wat a perfect song.

Ok so until I get the internet in my room I probably will not be blogging as much just so you know, ok bye.

Episode 1001 - Chef Returns to South Park

Episode 1 of Season 10 of South Park has aired!!!
It is titled "Chef Returns to South Park"

Plot Summary:
The town is jolted out of a case of the doldrums when Chef suddenly reappears. While Stan, Kyle, Kenny and Cartman are thrilled to have their old friend back, they notice that something about chef seems different. When Chef’s strange behavior starts getting him in trouble, the boys pull out all the stops to save him.

You may have read or heard about how Isaac Hayes (Chef) may have left South Park.
Isaac Hayes may have left South Park because he hated the religious bigotry contained in the South Park scripts, or maybe because he threw a big Scientology hissy fit after the South Park Trapped In The Closet episode, or maybe he had a stroke and an unknown force quit for him. Maybe we'll never know.

This episode see's the dramatic death of Chef as he is mauled to death.
Im am so getting this episode as soon as I get home.
From the two YouTube clips I have seen of the episode it seems so funny, smart yet not a direct stab at Chef (Isaac Hayes) himself, but rather at scientology.

Here are two clips from the episode:

Chef's Death Scene

RIP Chef

Enjoy!

Send me a voice message

Graeme sent me this link today, which shows you how you can let people leave you voice messages on your blog or website or watever.
It works with the Odeo service but anyone regardless if they are an Odeo user or not can send a voice message.

Seems pretty cool :D

Will wait and see if I actually get any messages tho.

I knew it, Anton Is Hugh Hefner!

I have had my suspicions for a long time now but today whilst doing a google search for "Anton" and "Hugh Hefner" I found this startling piece of evidence, here we see Anton with a bevy of ladies. I knew it, Anton IS Hugh Hefner. This would explain the hickies and parcels Anton receives at work with ladies underwear in them.

Anton is Hugh Hefner
Touch Anton (hef) to enlarge him (literally)

It's amazing what a simple google images search will find these days.

I knew it, Daniel Is A Redneck!

Today I received an email from Dan which struck me as a little off center. This is what he wrote:
We'll I'll be tarred and covered in feathers. *slaps leg*

I'll just put my flannelette shirt and overalls on, with an oil covered baseball cap, and get ol' Bessy (the 12guage).

It was then that I got the idea to do a google image search for "Dan"+"Redneck" and wouldn't you know what came up, Daniel, in his redneck attire with a rifle over his shoulder. I always knew Daniel was a Redneck and now i have the proof!

Touch Dan to enlarge him

It's amazing what a simple google images search will find these days.

AppRocket

http://www.candylabs.com/approcket/

AppRocket is fantastic!!! Daniel showed me it this morning. And as soon as I saw what it did, I was like "Ohhhh my godd Where do I go to get this?". And then he was like, ohhhhh my goddd, i sooooo can't belive you just bought the same short shorts as me, Ive sooo got the hotter ass. And then I was like uhhhhhh, pfffffft, watever, lol, concealer. Outburst.

AppRocket is a very natural way of accessing all types of files and information on your computer. Just type a few letters of what you are looking for and AppRocket finds it. It's fast, beautiful, and easy-to-use.

For example, that riff from that new New Kids on the Block song comes in your head, you press Alt+Space and type in "new k" and it will appear in AppRocket and then just hit enter and you can hear it instantly. It's really fantastic, it searches all files not just music, it searches Images and Videos if you catch my drift.

Best Viagra Spam!

I just received the greatest viagra spam email ever, after reading it thrice I am of the opinion that this is the work of genius.

Email Subject: Re[2]: Love is the difficult realization that something other than oneself is real

Email Msg:
Hello,

expression of disgust on her face.
"Yes, but you mustn't forget that you and I.... And besides
that," added Anna, in spite of the wealth of her arguments and
the poverty of Dolly's objections, seeming still to admit that it
was not right, "don't forget the chief point, that I am not now
in the same position as you. For you the question is: do you
desire not to have any more children; while for me it is: do I
desire to have them? And that's a great difference. You must
see that I can't desire it in my position."
Darya Alexandrovna made no reply. She suddenly felt that she had
got far away from Anna; that there lay between them a barrier of
questions on which they could never agree, and about which it was
better not to speak.

with a link to a viagra website at the bottom included in the original email.

Zeigeist

Zeigeist are my latest obsession. After doing some research, checking swedish blogs, I found their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/thezeigeist

Holy! Im calling this band, so good, this is my wavelength music, im going to record from their myspace page songs to mp3 so I can listen any time.

About Zeigeist
Based in Gothenburg, Sweden, Zeigeist plays pop electro with arty performances.

Band Members
Maria N - Styling & Costume Design
Per S - Music & Production
Mattias B - Words & Performance Consultant
Nicklas H - Conceptual & Graphic Design
Andreas S - Movies & Stage Design

Influences

Everything from Matthew Barney to Kate bush

Sounds Like
Electro pop. Or pop electro.

Their songs are amazing.

However, the song "Tar Heart" does sound a LOT like "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush. And the song "DawnNight" sounds like it ripped off a "Dirty Harry" riff by Gorillaz.

And while the subject of good artists on myspace is being discussed, here are a few other artists that are vgi:

Elevator/Lift Hack & Weekend Run Down

"The designers of some elevators include a hidden feature that is very handy if you’re in a hurry or it’s a busy time in the building (like check-out time in a hotel). While some elevators require a key, others can be put into “Express” mode by pressing the “Door Close” and “Floor” buttons at the same time. This sweeps the car to the floor of your choice and avoids stops at any other floor." - From Lifehack

Weekend

Went to the Cranker Saturday nite, was drunken fun, although the music sucked. And then they changed dj's and this new dj played the worst music. Going to the bar some random girl said, "I know you". I get this quite a bit usually for some reason...so my default response is.. "uhh no you don't". But as it turns out she did, she went to my school and was a year below me. I so don't remember her, it has been 6 years though. Adelaide is a small place. Was really drunk actually. At the end of the night things got out of hand and mucking around i think Dave (in invincible/argumentative mode) pushed me and my chair over then some dude came up to me and and gave me this really indepth analysis of what he thought happened. He was all i saw him push u over and u looked pissed, you need to stand up for yourself and have some self respect. Im like, i dont even care, he's mucking around, he does stupid shit like this alot, if you knew him you would understand. In my drunken unnawareness I did not register anything more than "oh im on the ground, i should get up". And then he went into how he thought i was one of those nice guys and how his friend is like that and stuff. It was really strange i didnt tell him to go away because i was enjoying the interaction but he was reading the situation all wrong and so as i stood there agreeing with him but on inside going your wrong. Im thinking I need to shed my "i don't really mind" adaptable skin a bit more and let things get to me. You often learn really good lessons from drunken late night misadventures and in this state of total honesty of self and others you see how people percieve you and for me its often different from how I would like. This is reality, it is how it is. Id rather honest feedback than courteous nicities. Then again, and I dont know if its just me but often feedback can be way off track (from unintelligent people, people who see surface only or people so in themselves they cant see much else than what their fixed/_____ coloured glasses see) but then again this is how a certain person may see it, do you take this on board as truth or shrug it off as innacurate data from how you see it? I won't go into any more detail about the other things I learned because 1. boring 2. who does this shit on a blog, its gay enough what Ive written so far 3. im probably wrong anyway.
The weekend did open my eyes to some things which is good and bad but it is what it is. A lot of my angles are perhaps not the best way to view things I think, I also need to stop rejecting all together "normal" ways of thinking which is my natural creative possibilities mechanic in work. Damn what is this, there coming at me thick and fast. It annoys me how things in your life have shaped who you are now and because of these things you may be lacking in certain areas, you have natural blindspots, this is life I guess, working out this stuff as you go, taking feedback and then growing from it? Man this is so Dr Phil gay talk.. where is the off switch? time to change the channel on these thoughts. Change is hard? honest self assessment scary.

Are these thoughts and thinking about these types of things dumb and pointless? Should we not examine situations and form beliefs and views and angles? Should we just go with the flow? Im not sure, experience and age no doubt will show.

Word Cloud Your Blog

While browsing some Adelaide Blogs I found this good website where you enter your blog address and after some time it crawls through your blog and creates a word cloud of the most used words on your blog. The words you most use are displayed large and in bold. It generates this word cloud list and then you can choose to get a tee shirt created with these words on it, if you so desire this.

Here is my blog's word cloud :)

My most used words = blog, good, kowald, like, love, moblog, nathan, people, song, think, time, website and work.

Random thoughts

Here are some random thoughts that I would probably not tell you in person for not wanting to bore you, I shall bore you in textual format this way I don't care.

First a question.
Why does lemsip original lemon - paracetamol ph. eur. 500mg give me more of a buzz than Lemsip max - paracetamol ph. eur. 1000mg does? I would have thought the more PPE the greater the buzz?

I got the strongest urge today to find out about becoming a 3d Radio announcer. That seems like the funnest thing ever. I was thinking oh ok well im not the best talker, as in I usually listen more than talk, when I do try and say something it sometimes comes out wrong (especially if I know the other person doesnt care or isnt listening) but then again I thought that If I was listening to a person who found it hard to form sentences and who wasnt your typical announcer I would love it and tune in all the time. I love listening to talk back radio and especially listening to the wide range of different people that call up, I love it when someone has a serious lack of social talking ability its great, fascinating and most importantly entertaining. Obviously If i got a slot I could not keep up a slot if I wasnt half good at expressing myself so this would help me develop this and I think preparing for a show would be the funnest thing ever. Theres so many good things which you could do if you were a radio announcer that NO ONE is doing today. The whole thing behind all this, having a website, a blog, when I was a writer (graff), carving in trees (as a kid) is getting something OUT THERE to an audience. When I like something, I want everyone else to know about it and get the same feeling from it as I do and so radio seems like such a great medium for this.

I have to vote tomorrow and I have no idea who I am going to vote for. Whats worse is I don't really care. I know who my dad is voting for and his reasons but I know nothing about each party etc. Politics and the likes havent really been discussed much in our house growing up and so I have not really had any exposure to anything that way related. Sports and football and the such are another thing that wasnt really followed and for this reason I don't really care about football or sports much, some would say this is a good thing but then again when the topic comes up I have no opinion/knowledge on any of this. There are many areas which I know nothing about and don't really care to know about. Cars and how they work is one such area, I have no interest in the technical workings of my car, I only want to know what I need to know to keep it running smooth and maintain it so it looks after me. I just don't care its simple as that. Not caring = no desire to learn about something.

I used to love playing my whole mp3 collection in random but these days whenever I do so bad songs come up that I don't want to listen to but when I go to burn songs to dvd I can never bring myself to get them off my pc.

Im still really, really loving the song "F as in Knife" (Zeigeist - Tarhear) I showed Karl tonight and he really loves it too which is the best, makes me like it even more. If you want to listen to Zeigeist - Tarheart here is a link to download it.

Download "F As In Knife" (really Tarheart by Zeigeist)

Zeigeist - tarheart was posted on a forum as the fake 12th track that was tacked onto the Knife's latest album "Silent Shout". That is why it sometimes comes under the name "F as in Knife". It does really sound a lot like The Knife.

New Songs

Tonight my sister Kate brought home a New Order Dvd from Tafe of all their film clips. After watching most of their rather boring clips I was really inspired by most of their early songs. With this inspiration I jumped on my computer and fired up FLSTUDIO 6.

(present tense)
I so don't have "it" tonight, I can't come up with anything decent.
Here are 3 song Ideas I have come up with recently:

Song Idea 1 - (356Kb Mp3 File)
Song Idea 2 - (871Kb Mp3 File)
Song Idea 3 - (1.03Mb Mp3 File)

Which one should I develop further, if any?

I am currently obsesed with this song "F as in Knife" by the Knife... well actually I think its by a band called "Zeigeist" and the actual song name is "Tarheart". It's so great, i must listen to it at least once every hour. I love it to death, I can't work it out. This is the sound I want. It also sounds stacks like "Running Up That Hill" by Kate Bush. I love the bit in "Running Up That Hill" where she says tearing me "asunder".. what a great word, "asunder".

Tiga - Sexor

Saw the advertisement for Tiga's new album in attitude magazine.
I got Sexor by Tiga today and its great! Have played it all the way through twice, I definately recommend getting this album, especially if you are into artists such as, The Knife, Ladytron, Fischerspooner, Fairlight Children, Mount Sims, Peaches etc etc. Basically if your into electro pop/synth/80's dance pop you will like this album.

"Tiga - Sexor" Album Cover

I love and have loved Tiga's single "You Gonna Want Me" and have played it for months on end.. I liked it instantly, the film clip is good also. It's one of those rare songs that I can listen to over and over without getting sick of it. The album version of "You Gonna Want Me" is slightly different from the Radio Edit.

My favourite songs from Tiga's Sexor are:
2. (Far From) Home
3. You Gonna Want Me
4. High School <-- Great Track
5. Louder Than a Bomb
6. Pleasure From The Bass
11. (Far From) Home The Speed of Sexor Remix
13. 3 Weeks

Tiga also covers "Talking Heads" Burning Down the House and pulls it off. So yep if good dancable electro is what makes you smile, I definately recommend getting this album.

Nike Air Max 90's are the new Dunks

After reading about it on countless blogs it finally happened to me, after writing a long blog post which I was very happy with Firefox decided to shit itself and my 15 mins worth of writing and re-writing was lost. :(

On Sunday I purchased a pair of Nike Air Max 90 - Infra Red's.
Platypus shoes in the Myer centre Adelaide were all out of stock so I had to get them from Axel Beers off Rundle. Nike have decided to re-release the Infra Red Air Max 90's for a limited run in March. I love this shoe and am really happy with how they look and feel. Its my prediction that the Nike Air Max 90's are the new Nike Dunks, as the Dunks were the hot shoe now the Nike Air Max 90s have taken that position and now own the spotlight.

Check out Nike Air Max's at Sole Provider (online AUS shoe store):
http://www.sole-provider.com.au/c/9406/1/air-max.html

NIKE AIR MAX 90 LEATHER - HOUNDSTOOTH

NIKE AIR MAX 90 - LIME

NIKE AIR MAX 90 CLASSIC - INFARED

Nike Air Max 90's - Get into them!!

Heres a description from another website which I have forgotten the name of:
Where do you start with these?

An all-time classic of the Air Max line. This was originally a special Euro colorway released early in 2003 and were an instant hit! We were fortunate to have a few pairs of these filter down under...

An interesting note for Air Max collectors was that in 2002, Australia had a very similar shoe released which differed only in that the red-pink areas were more orange which also resembled the original released back in 1990. When both these retro's are placed next to each other, they still look similar!

These are real gems! For some of us, they were the shoe that we had when growing up while for others they were one of the shoes that we always wanted to have whilst growing up. An excellent addition!

Do you remember?

Do you remember writing those stories where you would start it off then pass it on to the next person and they had to keep the story going, then pass it on, either back to you or someone else? Did anyone else do this or just me and my sister?

Anyway a long while ago Reece and I were conversating about how fun activities such as these used to be and why don't we still do them today?

So Reece whipped up a page on his site that allowed him and myself to create an interactive story, here is the page: http://www.schaefer.id.au/shortStory/

I started off the story and then Reece continued it. It was then my turn again to write something, I havent been bothered to continue it for months and every so often I catch glimpse of it in my firefox personal links bar and think "yeah, I should really continue the story".

Anyway here is what Reece and myself came up with:

Nathan Wrote:

"Slow Down!, what are you trying to kill us?", Gretchen shrieked. God, I hate the sound of her stupid nasal voice I think to myself, I don't know how she even managed to get a boyfriend, she has no redeeming qualities and isnt pretty at all. But then again, Simon is an idiot who doesnt know any better, they deserve each other.

"Listen Gretchen, I wouldnt have to speed if you didn't take so long getting ready, its not like all that time infront of the mirror has done anything, you still look hideous", I say.

"Shut up, your such a fag", she shouts at me. "Beep" "Beep", I feel my mobile vibrate in my pocket and pull it out and look at the screen, "Its spam!, what the hell?, I should'nt be getting spam I have a secure firewall on my mobile".

This is really weird.

Back in late 2006 they launched a new mobile technology called RTD (Real Time Data), what it allowed you to do was to do things like "Video Intercoms" which was you could instantly page a contact and if they accepted your page you could see and talk to them in real time, high quality and you could also transfer data from their mobile phone. For example if you wanted an mp3 off your friend all you had to do was ask them to send it to you and you would be able to instantly recieve a 3Mb mp3 in under 1 second. It was great and opened up a whole range of possibilities for mobile phones. However this new RTD technology was highly succeptible to wireless hacking attempts. Security coupled with a highly secure firewall was a must, if you did not have a firewall on your phone and someone ran a scan and found your phones id they would sell it to advertising companies, it was big business. These advertising companies would then send you out a shit load of adverts to your phone, it was really annoying and once someone had your phone id you pretty much had to accept that you would be constantly recieving spam videos and messages, either that or you would have to get a new phone.

Me being paranoid and generally up with techonology I always made sure I had the best security on my phone so this spam message puzzled me. While trying to keep my attention on driving I enter the settings on my phone, "Settings" i say to get into settings then all of a sudden my phone screen goes blank. "What the?" At that moment my car stalls and screeches to a halt. Gretchen is flung forward but her seatbelt stops her from flying through the front windscreen of the car. "What the fuck just happened?!", Gretchen shouts in a terrified voice.

"Uh, I have no idea, are you ok?", I say as I look up to see every other car on the road stopped also. "Yeah im kool you dick", Gretchen replies.

"All the electronics in the car are fried", I annouce.. that must be why my mobile stopped working aswell.

Reece Wrote:

"What the hell do we do now?" demands Gretchen.

"Well for starters you can get the hell out of my car" I snapped back

"What the hell for?"

"YOU STINK! Nah just kidding, we should start walking to the next town" I thought that would be best seeing as we really had no idea when, or if, the car would come good.

Getting out of the car I tried yet again to get my phone to turn on. "This dam thing is farked" I snarled just case the others hadn't heard. Picking my head up I noticed that Simon was staring into the air with a stupider than usual look on his face. "What the hell are you staring at fool?" without loosing concentration he just raised his right hand into the air.

I followed along his arm and off the end of his out reached index finger. What I saw was not so much distrubing but more just flat out weird.

This is the end of the story (SO FAR) it being my job to continue it. Any ideas where this could go feel free to comment.

The reason for this post is that I'm burning Team America DVD files from Matthias's external 250gb hard-drive and its taking forever. *sigh*

Some Quotes

Here a some quotes which i have found, and liked recently:

"Muad'Dib learned rapidly because his first training was in how to learn. And the first lesson of all was the basic trust that he could learn. It is shocking to find how many people do not believe they can learn, and how many more believe learning to be difficult. Muad'Dib knew that every experience carries a lesson." - Frank Herbert

This quote made me want to go to the library and hire a book on PHP to learn it.

"A man is a fool not to put everything he has, at any given moment, into what he is creating. You're there now doing the thing on paper. You're not killing the goose, you're just producing an egg. So I don't worry about inspiration, or anything like that. It's a matter of just sitting down and working. I have never had the problem of a writing block. I've heard about it. I've felt reluctant to write on some days, for whole weeks, or sometimes even longer. I'd much rather go fishing. for example. or go sharpen pencils, or go swimming, or what not. But, later, coming back and reading what I have produced, I am unable to detect the difference between what came easily and when I had to sit down and say, 'Well, now it's writing time and now I'll write.' There's no difference on paper between the two." - Frank Herbert

"You're only as young as the last time you changed your mind" - Timothy Leary

"Happiness is when what you think, what you say, and what you do are in harmony." - Mahatma Gandhi

"An expert is a person who has made all the mistakes that can be made in a very narrow field." - forgot

"To avoid situations in which you might make mistakes may be the biggest mistake of all."

"There is nothing to fear; if aggression is the result of fear, then fear is the fear of aggression. So if you are afraid of an aggressor, you are afraid of a thing which is afraid of you, a person ruled by his fear. And why should you be afraid of someone who is behaving like a small child in the darkness?"

"You can discover what your enemy fears most by observing the means he uses to frighten you." - Eric Hoffer

The Library cd experiment

Last December 2005 I decided to put my Monthly cd compilation in with all the other cd's at the Library.
Because:
1. At the time I loved everyone of these songs and wanted to spread the word so to speak.
2. I wanted to see what would happen.

Would some library browser find the cd and report it to a librarian, or would it arouse their curiosity and therefore take it home to listen to it. The former being the case I would never know what happened to it.

Today while at the library borrowing some books on PHP I went to the counter and gave the guy my books. "Oh, he says, theres a message on our computers here that one of your cd's is waiting to be collected from the holds desk". "Oh" I say, "which one is it?" i ask to guage if I had actually put a cd on hold or if it was the cd i dumped in with all the other cd's. He walks to the holds area and returns with my burnt cd compilation. "Thanks" I say whilst inspecting the message taped to the front of the cd.

Heres a photo of the note a librarian left sticky taped to the front of the cd:

So if you ever had the same idea, this is what might possibly happen.
I want to do more pointless activities such as this.

City Messenger Article - Broadcasting thoughts online

Here is a copy of the City Messenger article about blogging/bloggers written by Petra that Jen and myself were interviewed for. I have also included the PDF if you want to download it as that.

Im pretty happy with how it turned out, the only thing which i think could be taken the wrong way is a quote of mine "When it comes down to it, everyone loves themselves - everyone's got their own opinions and they think that everyone should hear them" haha I did say this at the time (I'd had a few beers). I dont mean this in an arrogant way, as in everyone LOVES themselves but just that everyone pretty much thinks that what they think is right. Maybe I'm reading into how people will take it too much. It does create an emotion in the reader I guess which is what makes for a good article. I shall worry about it no more. As the wise Jen put it, "there is no such thing as bad press". I also think my photo is off or as Daniel described it, "its like your between facial expressions".. haha :) but then again probably focusing on it too much because its me. Like when you get group photos you straight away single out yourself and nooooo, i dont like that one of me, when others don't even really notice. Haha i also sound adolescent and dumb but that how i talk so yeah.

Here's the article:

Thanks to Petra (Petstarr) for the opportunity to be involved in the article.
