Went into Borders today and was blown away with how many books they have there which I want to read. I think I will start buying a new book every fortnight. Some days I wake up and I am dumb, like really dumb, like 70% aware. I can feel it in my heavy clouded head. I don't know why but this morning and today I feel this way. I don't know what to put it down to either.

The topic of global warming keeps popping up wherever I turn, online news articles, books, television etc etc. Acquired the day after tomorrow and watched it, I liked it , it was good. I have had a fair few dreams about like huge waves coming into land and trying to escape to the highest altitude possible. While watching the movie I got the strongest urge to read up on geography, find out what locations have the highest altitudes etc. If the scenario in the movie was ever to actually happen then living below the equator would be a very good thing as we would be LESS affected. Theres so much I do not know about weather and need to learn about. I wish I payed more attention in Geography class. An inconvenient truth go see it to get an intro into this subject.

A Night of Updates

I updated my Blog Template, added an easily accessible search box up the top left of screen and moved the "Send Me A Voice Message" link which no one even clicks on anyway. I was psyched when I found out about ODEO voice messages from Graeme. It's like an online answering machine for your website.

A voice message sounds like this.
This is me testing it out (pretending to be an asian male who has visited my website)

powered by ODEO

I also updated my last.fm profile tonight, mainly to add a link to my "loved tracks" radio on my sidebar. Pretty much these songs make me quiver and vomit and shake and smile and run and jump all at once.

The Rapture

Oh man, yes ALSO.........I got the new Rapture album last night, "Pieces Of The People We Love". I must say that it is such a good album.
I highly recommend you get it and listen to it, especially the very first track "Don Gon Do It".
Other hits include, "Get Myself Into It", "Whoo! Alright! Yeah ... Uh Huh" and "The Sound" but the whole album is good really. I liked their first album but always thought it was missing something or was too formulaic or something, this album, their sound has evolved/de-evolved become richer, more diverse and well im not too good with filler bs words which describe sounds/albums, but listen to it because its a goody.

Other songs I've been liking lately are:
Professor Murder - The Mountain
Tokyo Police Club - Cheer It On
Macrocosm - Secret Universe
C-Bank - Perfect

Deborah Mailman

Ever since watching a "Chaser's War On Everything" episode the other day I have had the name, "Deborah Mailman" in my head.
I will be driving home from work, "Deborah Mailman"... Making spaghetti, "Deborah Mailman".... Changing the channel, "Deborah Mailman".... thinking about Hellen Keller, "Deborah Mailman".

Why do you haunt my thoughts Deborah?.. WHY?.. WHY?.. WHY?!! Stay out of me head space. I love you deborah..woah where did that come from? I Don't love you Deborah! I don't even know deborah... I.. I.. I.. I give up. No, I shall never give up the fight against the name Deborah Mailman penetrating my thoughts.

Her last name, Mailman. I have read, or heard that lots of last names originated from that persons "job title" ages ago, ages and ages and ages ago. How long have mailmen been around for? how long has mail been around for? How long until I finish work, i'll tell you how long.. 1hr and 40minutes.

You Are Right

Whatever you think about something, you are right.

If i hold thoughts that what i am saying and writing now are merely "hey, here are some things i have been thinking, i am probably wrong" I will choose words which will support this weak unsure dominant thought. A reader will read then pick up on this and their views/imagagery/dominant feeling whilst reading will be the same as the thoughts I had whilst writing this. In this way I am creating my reality.

People, everyone around you, how you think about them, all comes from you, how you see the world, how you feel about yourself. We are all connected. If I get annoyed at someone, this person on some level represents a part of myself which i am not happy with, some thing/attitude in myself that I cannot love/accept. It's just like dream interpretation, how in dreams every person in your dream represents a side of yourself.

Finding meaning in meaningless occurances? It's a sign that __________ . These types of thoughts. Are these things which happen to us really signs?. I was thinking tonight that these types of thoughts are just another way to come up with ideas/solutions/feelings that we are searching for. Its a path for our subconscious to tell us something perhaps. So go with these thoughts as they may spark other thoughts and stimulate ideas. If i choose this type of thinking, my thoughts and ideas are going to increase, i am going to have many new thoughts to choose from and play with etc. What I once viewed as superstitious kookiness I have reframed to be a new path towards creative thinking. Even something as seemingly stupid as i spilled my coffee because.. and then see what comes to mind.

you are right, you are always right.

Sweden and Great Music

Swedish Flag

What is it about Sweden that every single new artist/group I like these days seems to come from here. I will find an artist, think damn this is cool.. look up where they are from and... NO WAY! _________, Sweden. Another One. Either Gothenburg (Göteborg) or Stockholm, Sweden usually.

This place keeps churning out the Artists which matter.

Here is a list of artists off the top of my head which come from Sweden:

- Zeigeist (Gothenburg)
- In Flames (Gothenburg)
- Dark Tranquility (Gothenburg)
- The Similou (Gothenburg)
- Sally Shapiro (Gothenburg)
- Cat5 (Gothenburg)
- The Knife (Stockholm)
- Peter Bjorn and John (Stockholm)
- Shout Out Louds (Stockholm)
- Mando Diao (Borlange)
- Refused (Umea)
- The Hives (Fagersta)

Must be something to this place.

Map of Sweden

Here are some facts about Sweden, taken from the Wikipedia entry for Sweden:

- Sweden has one of the world's highest life expectancies.

- Sweden has a high standard of living, comparable to that of other avanced Western European nations.

- University is free of charge, both for Swedes and for foreigners, although there is a discussion in parliament about charging foreign students in the future. Swedish students also receive economic help from the state for studying. Every student is entitled to 12 semesters of allowances (at a level of about 250 euros per month) and loans (of an extra 450 euros per month).

- Throughout the 1960s and 1970s Sweden was perceived as an international leader in what is now referred to as the "sexual revolution", with gender equality particularly promoted. Some Swedish films reflected a liberal view of sexuality, including scenes of love making that caught international attention, and introduced the concept of the "Swedish sin". However, Sweden was at that time not as sexually liberal as people believed.

- A majority of Swedes, especially those under 60, are able to understand and speak English thanks to trade links, the popularity of overseas travel, a strong Anglo-American influence and the tradition of subtitling rather than dubbing foreign television shows and films.

- In underground circles, Sweden is known for a large number of heavy metal (mostly death metal and melodic death metal), as well as Progressive bands. Prominent metal acts include Opeth, In Flames, Meshuggah, The Haunted, At the Gates, Soilwork, Scar Symmetry, Evergrey, Pain Of Salvation, Hammerfall, Arch Enemy, Blindside, Jerusalem,Unleashed, Amon Amarth, Vintersorg, and Entombed.

- Swedes are among the greatest consumers of newspapers in the world, and nearly every town is served by a local paper.

- Swedish cuisine, like that of the other Scandinavian countries (Denmark and Norway), is traditionally simple. Fish, meat and potatoes play prominent roles.

- Sport activities are a national movement with half of the population actively participating, much thanks to the heavy government subsidies of sport associations ("föreningsstöd"). The two main spectator sports are football (soccer) and ice hockey.

That's So ..... Annoying!

ARRGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!! That show, "That's So Raven" is on and its sooooo annoying. I want to kick that main character Raven in her stupid face. All it is is all the characters being annoying while they overdo that eyes wide open expression. You know the one, when black women especially in movies/tv-shows get all fired up and there eyes get real big, "Oh no you di-ent". Thats all it is. Big eyes. Big eyes and annoying overacting. OVER acting is as bad as bad acting. I hate this show but especially the Raven character. Her smarmy, never looking at anyone for long acting, 1000 unnecessary facial expressions, her her her... ewwwwww. This show is rubbish.

Thats so annoying
